The National Library Service has engaged in an oral history project on the fishing community in Barbados, as part of the lead up to ‘Vision 2020: We Gatherin’.
The video project entitled “Voices of the Fisheries” will feature persons involved in trades in the fishing industry, such as net-making, boat-building and fish processing.
It will be launched during the Barbados National Union of Fisherfolk Organisations’ Fisherama on Saturday, June 29, at 6:00 p.m. at the Bridgetown Fish Market, Princess Alice Highway.
