Individuals with an interest in working at the United Nations, will get to hear more about employment and career opportunities during two information sessions next month.

The session for employment as junior professionals will be held in the Roy Marshall Teaching Complex, University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, St. Michael, on Friday, October 11, starting at 2:30 p.m.

The second outreach for employment at the senior level will be held on the same date at Solidarity House, Harmony Hall, St. Michael, commencing at 5:45 p.m.

During the sessions, prospective employees will receive tips on how to prepare an effective application and the requirements for competency-based interviews within the context of the UN System. There will also be a question and answer session.

The United Nations and its funds, programmes and specialised agencies, is a global employer and actor that focuses on fundamental issues including sustainable development; the environment, refugees; disaster relief mitigation; human rights; HIV/AIDS; and counter-terrorism disarmament.
