Some 500 Barbadians who reside in the United States of America, United Kingdom and Canada will seek to foster closer relationships with Government, when they participate in the International Associations of Barbados Organisations Collaborative Conference.

The meeting will take place at the Sherbourne Conference Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael, tomorrow, Friday, August 8, at 8:30 a.m. under the theme “Barbadians Forging Links Across the Seas”.

Prime Minister David Thompson will deliver the feature address, and there will also be presentations by the National Association of Barbados Organisations, the Barbados Public Workers Cooperative Credit Union, the Barbados Tourism Authority and the Barbados National Bank.

Minister of Tourism, Richard Sealy and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and International Business, Christopher Sinckler, will attend the conference.

There will also be a cultural evening at Tyrol Cot, Codrington, St. Michael, on Saturday, August 9, at 6:00 p.m., at which Minister of Culture and Community Development, Steve Blackett, will deliver an address.
