The Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) has advised that the Pandemic Contribution Levy return is available for employers to file and pay in TAMIS. The filing and payment for the month of April 2022 is due on Monday, May 16.

Employers should note that when filing this return, only the information for those employees who attract the one per cent levy is required.

The Authority reminds employers that the Pandemic Contribution Levy on individuals is levied on income from sources in Barbados including, but not limited to, income from a business, office, employment, rents, dividends, interest and director’s remuneration/fees.

This levy is payable in addition to the individual’s income tax obligations and is not deductible for tax purposes. Pension income, benefits in kind, interest on Government of Barbados Bonds and foreign-sourced dividend income are excluded.
