Patrons attending Agrofest have been invited to a panel discussion on Sunday, February 24, in Queen’s Park, The City, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

It will be held in the Ministry of Agriculture’s booth and the theme will be: Establishing a Vision for the Future of Agriculture in Barbados. Speakers will be Acting Senior Agricultural Officer, Leslie Brereton, who will make a presentation on Cassava Production in Barbados – The Way Forward; Chairman of the National Agricultural Commission, Dr. Chelston Brathwaite, will speak on A New Vision for Agriculture in Barbados; and Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation, Fay Best, will present on the topic: BADMC and its Role in the Future of Agriculture. All are invited.

Meantime, exhibitors at this year’s exhibition have been reminded that arm bands will be issued as a means of identification for entry into Queen’s Park, during the exhibition which runs from February 22 to 24.

Patrons may also produce their tickets if they want to be issued with arm bands. A booth dedicated to distributing the bands will be located in Section A (near the fountain) during the exhibition.
