To mark World Intellectual Property Day (WIPD) on Tuesday, April 26, the Department of Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property will host a discussion on the topic: Copyright and Related Rights, the Emerging trends in the Digital Environment and the Challenges for Enforcement.

It will take place in the Christ Church/Bridgetown Conference Room, 5th Floor, Baobab Tower, Warrens, St. Michael, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m.

The panellists include Registrar of the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office, Heather Clarke; Senior Coordinator, Intellectual Property, Science and Technology Issues, Malcolm Spence; Chief Executive Officer, Copyright Society of Composers and Publishers, Erica Smith; Attorney-at-Law, Fiona Hinds; representative from the Caribbean Broadcasting Union, Sonia Gill; representative from Flow (Barbados), Janelle King; Calypsonian, Stedson Wiltshire; and Anderson ???Blood??? Armstrong.

A special invitation has been extended to all artistes, performers, broadcasters and persons in the telecommunications industry to attend the discussion.??The theme for WIPD 2016 is: Digital Creativity: Culture Reimagined.
