All is set for tomorrow’s Independence Ceremonial Parade at the Bridgetown Port at 8:00 a.m.

Following the parade, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart will take the salute in front of the Port Administration Building. Immediately afterwards, armed and unarmed units will then march to Bridgetown?? via the Holborn junction, turning right on to Fontabelle, Cheapside, Broad Street and finally Independence Square where armed detachments will be dismissed.

Troops taking part in tomorrow’s parade have been asked to assemble at the North Gate entrance of the Bridgetown Port (near The Dacosta Mannings roundabout) at 6:00 a.m. for a 6:30 a.m. fall-in. Unarmed units must then proceed to the area in front of Shed 4.

Specially invited guests and dignitaries are advised to enter the Bridgetown Port via the South Gate or Main Entrance. Members of the public will be able to watch the parade by entering through the North Gate.

Unarmed units will be dismissed in front of the Headquarters of the Barbados Fire Service on Probyn Street.
