A Combined Parade at the Garrison Savannah on Wednesday, November 30, at 8:00 a.m., will be part of Barbados’ 50th Anniversary of Independence celebrations.

His Royal Highness, Prince Henry of Wales, will inspect the several detachments of armed and unarmed units on parade.

They include the Mounted Troop of the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF), the Barbados Defence Force (BDF), the Barbados Cadet Corps, and the Bands of the BDF and RBPF.

The unarmed units will include the Barbados Fire Service, the Barbados Red Cross Society, the Barbados Landship Association, the Transport Board, the Regional Security System and the Barbados Boy Scouts Association.

At the end of the ceremony, troops will march from the Garrison Savannah to Bay Street, where Prime Minister Freundel Stuart will take the salute at Government Headquarters. The parade will culminate in Independence Square.
