The Transport Board will be offering a park and ride service to persons attending the celebrations at Checker Hall, St. Lucy tomorrow, Errol Barrow Day.

To commemorate the centennial of the birth of the Right Excellent Errol Walton Barrow there will be the unveiling of a plaque at The Garden, Checker Hall, beginning at 3:00 p.m. followed by a Mega Concert at 5:00 p.m.

Members of the public may park at the Mahaica playing field, Speightstown, St. Peter or at the St. Lucy Parish Church, and board the buses which will be available from 3:00 p.m.

Alternatively, the Transport Board’s shuttle service will begin at 3:00 p.m. from the terminals at Oistins, Princess Alice and Fairchild Street. Buses will also pass through the Glebe, St. George.

Buses will then be available to take patrons from the venue from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Persons are also asked to note that there will be no parking at the venue and vehicular access to the slip road at Checker Hall playing field will be prohibited.

The cost of the park and ride and shuttle service is $3.50.
