When members of the Lower House of Assembly resume debate in the House of Assembly tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13, after a two month recess, many items will be up for discussion.

Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, David Thompson, is expected to lead debate on the First Readings of the International Financial Services (Validation) and the Financial Institutions (Miscellaneous Provisions and Validation) Bills, 2009.

In addition, Minister of Transport and Works, John Boyce, will move the First Reading of the Road Traffic (Amendment) and the Road (Validation) Bills, 2009.

Other items on the Order Paper under Government Business, are the Second Readings of four bills, three standing in the name of the Prime Minister. These include the Public Service (Amendment) Bill, the Constitution (Amendment) (No.2) Bill, and the Land Development Duty (Amendment) Bill, all for 2009.

Minister of Economic Affairs, Empowerment, Innovation, Trade, Industry and Commerce, Dr. David Estwick will pilot the Second Reading of the Barbados Water Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2008.
