The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security will conduct a training workshop on pest and pesticide management on Wednesday, October 31.

It will be held at the Caribbean Agricultural Research & Development Institute (CARDI) building, located at the Ministry’s headquarters, Graeme Hall, Christ Church, at 9:30 a.m.

Topics to be covered include: pest identification and control; pesticide calibration of spray equipment; the triple rinse procedure; safe use of pesticides and empty container management.

Presenters include Entomologist, Ian Gibbs; Plant Pathologist, Michael James; and Registrar of Pesticides (ag), Gennia Oxley.

Persons who utilize pesticides in their job and work in the agricultural sector are invited to attend.
