The Ministry of Health has advised that polyclinic and outpatient clinic pharmacies, which operate under the aegis of the Barbados Drug Service, will each be closed for one day during March to facilitate stocktaking.

The exercise will run from March 2 to 6 and again from March 9 to 13.??According to the schedule, the St. Thomas Outpatient Clinic Pharmacy and the Ladymeade Reference Unit will be closed on Monday, March 2.

On Tuesday, March 3, the Randal Phillips Polyclinic Pharmacy and the Maurice Byer Polyclinic Pharmacy will be closed. On Wednesday, March 4, the pharmacy at the Branford Taitt Polyclinic will be closed all day, while the Randal Phillips Polyclinic Pharmacy will be closed until 11:15 a.m.

The pharmacies at the St. Joseph and St. Andrew Outpatient Clinics will be closed on Thursday, March 5; and on Friday, March 6, the scheduled closures are at the Glebe Polyclinic Pharmacy and the St. John Outpatient Clinic Pharmacy.

The stocktaking exercise resumes on Monday, March 9 at the Edgar Cochrane Polyclinic Pharmacy and the Winston Scott Polyclinic Pharmacy, which will both be closed for the day. On Tuesday, March 10, the Winston Scott Pharmacy will be closed during the morning, reopening at 11:15 a.m., while the St. Philip Polyclinic Pharmacy will be closed all day.

The pharmacy at the Geriatric Hospital will be closed on Wednesday, March 11, and the St Philip District Hospital???s Pharmacy on Thursday, March 12. The exercise concludes on Friday, March 13, when the pharmacy at the Psychiatric Hospital will be closed.??The public is asked to note that all other polyclinic services will remain open throughout this period.
