The Ministry of Health has advised that the Barbados Drug Service (BDS) pharmacy at Horse Hill, St. Joseph, will be closed on Mondays and Thursdays, effective Monday, October 1, until further notice.??

Pharmacy services at Horse Hill will be available as normal on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.???? In explaining the change in business hours, Director of the BDS, Maryam Hinds, said:?? "We have come to realise that not many persons are using the services of the pharmacy at Horse Hill on Mondays and Thursdays. So, in light of this low usage, we will be redeploying staff to busier sites".

Persons in the area who may need to fill prescriptions on these days have been asked to take note of these changes.?? In cases where prescriptions are received on Mondays or Thursdays and need to be filled immediately, they may be taken to the Maurice Byer Polyclinic in Speightstown, St. Peter, or any other polyclinic pharmacy of choice.??

The Ministry of Health regrets any inconvenience this change in opening hours may cause.
