The St. Philip Parish Independence Committee (PIC) is seeking to honour residents who have made significant contributions to the development of the parish.

To this end, the Committee is inviting residents to nominate persons who have made a difference in the following areas: Agriculture (farming, fishing, livestock, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, NULL, NULL, 0); Tourism (hotel worker, taxi driver, beach vendor, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, NULL, NULL, 0); Education (teacher, after school care, lesson teacher, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, NULL, NULL, 0); Spiritual Growth (church leader, Sunday school teacher, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, NULL, NULL, 0); and Community Development (sports, culture, scout leader or guide, dance group leader).

The selected persons should be 70 years or older and nominations, which will include contact information and details on why that person has been chosen, should be submitted in writing to the Chairperson of the Committee, Deborah Lorde, Lucas Street, St. Philip, no later than Tuesday, August 31, 2010.
