The National Task Force on Physical Activity and Exercise will soon host a training workshop for persons interested in supervising or conducting physical activity sessions for members of their communities.

It is designed to equip persons with knowledge on exercise supervision, healthy nutrition practices for physically active persons and practical skills for exercise supervision.

This is in response to the high national rates of chronic non-communicable diseases which are compounded by increasing inactive behaviours and over-consumption of high calorie foods.

Persons who are interested in obtaining further information, or reserving a space, are asked to call Health Promotion Officer at the Ministry of Health, Denise Carter-Taylor, at 467-9401 or Sheena Warner-Edwards, at 467-9612.
