Several developers, representatives of financial institutions, insurance companies, the tourism sector and government departments, will soon get an opportunity to discuss the Amended Physical Development Plan (PDP) 2003, at two half-day symposiums.

The workshops, which are being coordinated by the Town and Country Development Planning Office in conjunction with the Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTII), will be held at the Sherbourne Conference Centre on Wednesday, September 17, and Wednesday, October 15, starting at 9:00 a.m. each day.

The topics to be addressed presented on September 17 will include: Urban Design Guidelines, National Infrastructure, Centres and Mixed Use Corridors, Coastal Development, and Planning Climate Change. Prime Minister David Thompson will also deliver a keynote address at that workshop at 1:00 p.m.

On October 15, the areas of discussion will be: National Parks, Rural Settlements, Agriculture, Golf Courses, and The Impact of Development on Water Courses.
