On Sunday, February 15, the Vice Premier of the People’s Republic of China’s State Council, Hui Liangyu, arrived in Barbados for a two-day official visit.

The Vice Premier (second row, right) was escorted by Barbados’ Chief of Protocol, Hughland Allman (front).

Several Chinese nationals resident here were on hand to welcome Mr. Liangyu.

Barbados’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Maxine McClean (left, facing), welcomed the Vice Premier to Barbados. Also pictured at right is the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Ms. Teresa Marshall.

The officials then proceeded to the VIP Lounge at the Grantley Adams International Airport for discussions.
