Plant lovers will have the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of plants during this year’s Arbor Day celebrations.

This is because the National Conservation Commission (NCC) has established a temporary plant shop in Queen’s Park, which will be open from Arbor Day, next Tuesday, September 22, until Saturday, September 26, during the 3rd Annual Expo.

During the week, the shop will open between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily; while on Saturday its opening will coincide with the Expo, which runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Patrons will also benefit from daily discounts on select plants throughout the week. On Tuesday and Wednesday, discounts will be up to five per cent; on Thursday and Friday up to 10 per cent and on Saturday up to 20 percent.

Special Projects Officer with the NCC, Ricardo Marshall, stressed that this initiative tied in with Government’s overall efforts to ???green Barbados", and with the NCC’s overall mandate.

So, plant lovers and Barbadians in general are urged to come out and participate in this year’s Arbor Day celebrations under the theme: ???Trees: The Circle of Life’.
