Prime Minister Freundel Stuart has congratulated the new Prime Minister of St. Lucia, Allen Chastanet, and his United Workers Party on the recent victory in the general elections.

“We already cooperate at various levels in a wide range of areas. These include economic, environmental, social and cultural activities within government and the private sector as well as people-to-people exchanges. There are many opportunities for our two countries to continue working together to strengthen our bilateral relationship, and I look forward to continued engagement on matters of mutual interest,” he stated.

The Prime Minister pointed out that there were many critical issues facing the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) of regional, hemispheric and international import.Prime

“It is important that we continue to work together alongside our other partners to promote our shared interests. In this regard, I look forward to interacting with you at the 37th Regular Meeting of the Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community in Guyana next month,” Mr. Stuart said.
