Prime Minister Freundel Stuart will be the keynote speaker when the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE) is inaugurated at a ceremony slated for the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael, tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28.

The ceremony, scheduled for 9:00 a.m., will be attended by regional Ministers with responsibility for Energy and other dignitaries, including Secretary General of the CARICOM Secretariat, Irwin LaRocque; Managing Director of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), Martin Ledolter; Director, Energy Branch of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), Dr. Pradeep Monga; and Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Dominica to the United Nations, Dr. Vince Henderson.

Dr. Henderson is also chairman of the Small Island Sustainable Energy and Climate Resilience Initiative, known as SIDS DOCK. The ADA, UNIDO and SIDS DOCK are all strategic partners of the CCREEE.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Senator Darcy Boyce, will host a press briefing along with the CARICOM Secretary General and the representatives of the strategic partners. There will be a reception in the evening for specially invited guests.
