Prime Minister Freundel Stuart will soon sign three agreements with the Executive President of the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), L. Enrique Garcia.

The brief signing ceremony will be held on Monday, July 20, in the Cabinet Conference Room, Government Headquarters, at 10:30 a.m.

The signing will allow the CAF to participate in the financing of this country???s development agenda.

Mr. Garcia will be in Barbados for a two-day official visit and is expected to meet with several government officials, including Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, Christopher Sinckler.

Barbados became a member of the CAF last year, following the signing of two agreements by Minister Sinckler and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Maxine McClean.

The country now has access to financing and technical support from the financial institution for projects that are a priority for its development.??Other shareholder countries include Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Portugal, Spain and Trinidad and Tobago.
