"…You were registered on this date exactly 50 years ago, and at that time, you were the 12th Credit Union to be registered in Barbados.?? During those 50 years, the Credit Union has developed into a society which is well equipped to satisfy the needs of its members.?? During the last 10 years, the Barbados Police Co-operative Credit Union has continued to grow in proportionate terms with the industry to attain 20.6 million dollars in assets at the end of June 2010…I am sure it is through prudent corporate governance and the discipline which the police force brings to bear that, 50 years later, the society continues to be in good financial health…," Minister Benn told his audience.
