The public is advised that pharmacies located in polyclinics and outpatients’ clinics which operate under the aegis of the Barbados Drug Service will be closed for one day to facilitate stocktaking during March.

On March 2, the St. Joseph Outpatient Clinic’s Pharmacy will be closed, and on March 3, the pharmacies located at the Ladymeade Reference Unit and the St. Andrew Outpatients’ Clinic will close.

On March 4, the stocktaking exercise continues at the pharmacy at the Psychiatric Hospital, and on March 5, it will be the turn of the David Thompson Health and Social Services Complex’s pharmacy.

The St. Philip Polyclinic’s Pharmacy will close on March 10; the Winston Scott Polyclinic’s Pharmacy on March 12; the Eunice Gibson Polyclinic’s Pharmacy on March 13; and the pharmacy at the St. Thomas Outpatients Clinic on March 16.

On March 17, the stocktaking exercise will be carried out at the Maurice Byer Polyclinic’s Pharmacy, and will continue at the Brandford Taitt Polyclinic’s Pharmacy on March 18; the Randal Phillips Polyclinic’s Pharmacy on March 19, and the pharmacy at the Glebe Polyclinic on March 20.

The Barbados Drug Service has assured the public that provision will be made to handle any emergency requests during the stocktaking exercise.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness advises that all other polyclinic services will remain open, according to the normal schedule.
