In an effort to assess the impact of its Health Expo on vendors during the Crop Over season, the Environmental Health Department of the Black Rock Polyclinic will be carrying out an evaluation of its services.

As a result, the department will not host its annual Health Expo this year, but will invite persons who apply for temporary restaurant permits to complete a short evaluative questionnaire.

The survey, in conjunction with an impact evaluation will be used to inform the department on the way forward.

The Environmental Health Department will, however, host two interactive two-hour sessions on Food Safety for the Crop Over Festival at the polyclinic.?? This training is mainly designed for first-time applicants and further information may be obtained by calling Senior Environmental Health Officer, Basil Pilgrim, at 438-9624.

The staff of the Department apologises for any inconvenience the cancellation of the Health Expo may have caused and expresses gratitude to those who in any way assisted and participated in staging the event over the years. lbayley@barbados.gov.bb
