Residents and business owners living in the Porters to Holders Hill, St. James area are invited to attend the first in a series of community meetings to sensitise them about the Tsunami Ready Recognition Programme, on Sunday, June 5, at the St. James Parish Church, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

During this meeting, officers of the St. James North District Emergency Organisation and other key officials will share information about the tsunami hazard, the risk it poses to their homes and businesses, how they can mitigate the impact and what actions they should take.

In addition, they will be sensitised about the seven evacuation routes which can be used to safely go to higher ground along the area, from Holders Hill to Porters Road. All are invited to attend.
