Barbadians have only a few more days to view the exhibition Portraits of a Headtie: A Celebration of Caribbean Women, which is currently on at the Barbados Museum, The Garrison, St. Michael.

They may view the work from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.?? The exhibition ends next Thursday, March 31.

Conceptualised by Ali Sandiford and curated by Allison Callender, the exhibition was initiated to recognise and celebrate the contribution of the Caribbean woman and to sensitise the community, through visual art, to the importance of the role of women in our society. It showcases the work of Hartley Alleyne, Richard J. Alleyne, Coral Bernadine, Oshun Blackett, Adrii Holder, Akyem-I-Ramsay and Ali Sandiford.

Admission to the Museum is free for locals and CARICOM nationals. For further information persons should contact the Barbados Museum at 427-0201 or email museum@caribsurf.com.
