Approximately 20 participants from around the region will get the opportunity to increase their understanding of direct mail and direct marketing dynamics and tools next week. They will participate in the Universal Postal Union (UPU), Direct Mail Advisory Board’s (DMAB) workshop for regional postal operators, from Monday, April 16 to Wednesday, April 18 at Divi Southwinds Beach Resort, St. Lawrence Main Road, Christ Church.

According to an official of the Post Office: "This seminar aims to promote the importance of direct mail and direct marketing, as well as develop domestic and international markets in the Caribbean region; increase direct mail volumes and the participation of postal administrations in the direct mail market."

Stating that while this initiative is relatively new to the Caribbean in keeping with the Direct Mail "Guide for Developing and: Least Developed Countries – in the Digital Age," the official noted that the UPU and the DMAB had been "working with designated postal operators to foster the growth of direct mail by increasing market knowledge and developing the expertise of stakeholders at all levels since 1995."
