As part of activities to mark the 160th anniversary of inland post, the Barbados Postal Service (BPS) will host various regional delegations, from April 5 to 9, and again during the period April 16 to 21.

Beginning this Thursday, April 5, to Monday, April 9, the 24th Annual Caribbean Postal Togetherness Conference will attract more than 100 postal workers to the island in an effort to promote unity and solidarity among its regional counterparts.

Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs, Adriel Brathwaite, will deliver the feature address at the official welcome slated for Divi Southwinds Beach Resort.?? The conference will seek to address postal issues affecting the Caribbean, while several sporting and social activities will also be staged.

Meanwhile, from Monday, April 16 to Saturday, April 21, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) will be conducting workshops for regional participants also at Divi Southwinds Beach Resort.?? Attorney General, Adriel Brathwaite, will give the opening address on Monday, April 16, while a representative of the UPU will deliver the feature address on Thursday, April 19. Both sessions will get under way at 9:00 a.m.
