Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley today touched on the issue of mass-based events during an interview at Ilaro Court on the COVID-19 pandemic. The following decisions were reached.
- We Gatherin’ mass-based activities planned for this weekend have been cancelled.
- The Ideas Forum scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, will now be a virtual event.
- Persons planning mass-based events over the next three months are advised to reschedule until a date later in the year or next year.
- Public gatherings will be restricted to 100 persons or less as soon as Barbados records its first case of COVID-19.
Any Crop Over events scheduled for the early part of the season will be postponed.
