Persons of all faiths are being encouraged to participate in a weekend of prayer for the protection of the island in the face of COVID-19.

Prayer sessions started today and will climax on Sunday with a National Day of Prayer.

The call to pray is being led by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies, in collaboration with the Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, which is responsible for ecclesiastical affairs.

A special prayer from Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Cynthia Forde, will be published in newspapers on Sunday, March 22.
