The public is advised that a pre-test of the National Communications System, including radio interrupts, will be conducted by the Department of Emergency Management (DEM) on Thursday, March 16, at 10:00 a.m.
This will be done ahead of the annual Caribe Wave exercise, and will be conducted across the FM stations of: 98.1 The One, CITA Radio 90.1, Slam 101.1, and Y 103.3. These interrupts will consist of a short test message broadcast over these stations, and carry the tag “exercise, exercise”.
Caribe Wave 2023 is slated to come off on Thursday, March 23, and will also involve a full test of the National Communications System.
Queries may be sent to acting Programme Officer at the DEM, Damien Griffith, via email at email@example.com, and copied to firstname.lastname@example.org.
