Director of the Criminal Justice Research and Planning Unit (CJRPU), Cheryl Willoughby, has praised the Business and Professional Women???s Club (BPWC) for its work in assisting women in Barbados.

Mrs. Willoughby complimented the organisation during a presentation of a hamper to the BPWC from the staff of the CJRPU and the Forensic Sciences Centre.

The event was held as part of the activities to celebrate Crime Awareness Month, during which the CJPRU has reached out to institutions which deal with violence.

???You are doing excellent work, especially through the centre,??? the Director added. In response, Vice President of the BPWC, Nicole Alleyne, thanked the staff at the CJRPU for their donation, noting that it would go a long way in giving assistance.

???Any tokens for the organisation we do appreciate at this time,??? she emphasised. Crime Awareness Month is being marked under the theme: The Faces of Violence in Our Society.
