Parliamentary Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, Senator Irene Sandiford-Garner,??in conversation with HRH Prince Seeiso Bereng Seeiso of Lesotho on his arrival in Barbados.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. today, His Excellency, HRH Prince Seeiso Bereng Seeiso was greeted in the Grace Adams Suite of the Grantley Adams International Airport by Parliamentary Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, Senator Irene Sandiford-Garner.??????

During their 45-minute meeting, the two discussed a wide range of issues including the impact of climate change, and Prince Seeiso’s experiences during his travels to China, England, the Middle East and several other countries. British politics also formed part of the discussion.

Noting that this was Prince Seeiso’s first visit to the island, Senator Sandiford-Garner encouraged him to do as much sightseeing as possible during his three-day stay.

Tomorrow, he will tour the Providence Elementary School at Francia, St. George and participate in a question and answer session with the students.

Also during his visit, Prince Seeiso, along with Britain’s Prince Harry who arrives in Barbados tomorrow, will be part of a children’s party and tour at the Barbados Museum, and will attend polo at Apes Hill on Sunday.??

Prince Seeiso is the Joint Founder and Patron of Sentebale with Prince Harry.??The charity is designed to support community organisations working with the vulnerable children and young people of Lesotho. He is also Patron of Linking Lives, Send-a-Cow and Khokanyana-Phiri charities based in England; all charities seeking to provide help to the less privileged people of Lesotho.??
