Schools which participated in the Barbados Manufacturers’ Exhibition (BMEX) and the Electricity and Renewable Energy Science Exposition will be awarded during the Media Resource Department’s annual Prize-Giving Ceremony on Tuesday, June 19. It takes place at the Barbados Light & Power Company Limited, Garrison, St. Michael, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The top participating primary schools in BMEX are St. Silas Primary, Ellerton Primary and All Saints Special Unit. The outstanding secondary schools are The St. Michael School, Daryll Jordan Secondary and The Lodge School.

Those schools which excelled in the science exposition in the primary schools’ category – Blackman and Gollop Primary, St. Mark’s Primary and Eagles Academy – will receive prizes during the ceremony. The secondary schools which impressed the judges in the exposition, Frederick Smith Secondary, The St. Michael School and Daryll Jordan Secondary will also be awarded for their innovative entries.
