Members of the public are encouraged to find out more about probation, community service and the court process by joining the Probation Department for its annual Open Day in the Community in National Heroes Square, Bridgetown, on Friday, June 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
There will be a number of information booths where members of the public can find out more about the services provided by the Department, including the functions of a probation officer in court and in the community; the court process; and community service.
There will also be a booth highlighting the various community outreach agencies that work closely with the Probation Department.??In addition, there will also be a booth where persons can donate to the Department???s scholarship fund, which will go towards the education of one of the agency???s clients.
