(NCSA)

The changes children undergo as they transition into teenagers will be highlighted when this year’s Project S.O.F.T. (Safeguarding Our Future Today) gets under way from Sunday, August 27, to Saturday, September 2.

The 15th annual one-week residential camp, hosted by the National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA), will cater to 40 children who sat this year’s Common Entrance Examination. It takes place at Marian Retreat House, Verdun, St. John.

Students attending this year’s camp will embrace the theme: Know the Facts…Make the Choice, as officials prepare them for entry into secondary school by discussing the multiple life challenges that will confront them.

Registration begins on Tuesday, July 11, and runs until Friday, August 11, or until all the spaces are booked. There is also a $60 registration fee.

For further information, interested persons may contact Makeada Bourne or Agnetha Roach-Chase at the NCSA at 429-6272, or email info@ncsa.org.bb.
