The Psychiatric Hospital will host its month of activities from Sunday, October 9, to Saturday, October 29, under the theme, The Great Push: Investing in Mental Health.

Activities begin with a service at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, October 9, at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Bridgetown.

On Wednesday, October 12, there will be a Sports Day on the Psychiatric Hospital grounds, Black Rock, St. Michael, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., while on Thursday, October 13, a Health Fair will be held at the Eric Holder Municipal Complex, District ???F’ Police Station, Horse Hill, St. Joseph, at 10:00 a.m.

Representatives of business houses have been invited to the Psychiatric Hospital School of Nursing on the grounds of the Psychiatric Hospital on Monday, October 19, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for a workshop dealing with Attention Deficit Disorder. Another workshop is scheduled for the same location and time on Wednesday, October 26, to examine Alzheimer’s Disease.

The month of activities will culminate on Saturday, October 29, with a Health Fair at the Wayne Daniel Pavilion, Brereton, St. Philip, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
