As part of activities leading up to Agrofest 2012, organisers the Barbados Agricultural Society (BAS), will host a public forum next week focusing on renewable energy in agriculture.

The event, held in collaboration with First Citizens Investment Services, will take place on Monday, February 13, starting at 6:30 p.m.

It is entitled: The Green Revolution: A New Paradigm, and the venue will be the Grande Salle, Central Bank of Barbados, Bridgetown.

The speaker will be Lecturer in the Department of Physics, St. Augustine Campus, University of the West Indies, Dr. Indra Haraksingh.

Agrofest patrons are also reminded that tickets for the national festival can be purchased at box offices across the island. These are: the Barbados Agricultural Society, "The Grotto", Beckles Road, St. Michael; Cave Shepherd, Broad Street; all Super Centre Stores; DaCosta Mannings branches at Fontabelle, Warrens, Pierhead, and Sheraton; Clear Vision Optical, #11 Pine Road, Belleville, St. Michael; Roberts Manufacturing Feed Store, Lower Estate, St. George; Limerz Sports Bar, formerly De Place Mini-mart, Church Street, Speightstown, St. Peter; and Drippers Pro Shop – Aquatic Centre, Wildey, St. Michael.

Another ticket booth will be in operation outside of Weymouth ???B’ during Agrofest to alleviate congestion.
