To mark its 30th anniversary, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Barbados has partnered with the Barbados Drug Service to host a public lecture on Tuesday, September 29, World Heart Day.
The lecture, entitled: Heart History in Barbados ??? a Medical Success Story, will be delivered by Dr. Alan Smith, consultant cardiothoracic surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
It begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael. Between 6:00 and 7.00 p.m., there will be CPR demonstrations and information related to cardiovascular disease.??Bus transportation will be provided after the lecture to the Fairchild Street and Princess Alice Bus Terminals.
