The Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Barbados National Registry (BNR) will host a public lecture/discussion entitled: Who’s Getting Heart Attacks and Strokes? to reveal the findings of the BNR’s 2010 Report at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael on Wednesday, July 10, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The discussion will address risk factors associated with non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension.

There will be a Power Point presentation by director of the BNR, Angela Rose followed by a discussion which will include a panel comprising director of the Chronic Disease Research Centre (CDRC), Professor Anselm Hennis; Senior Medical Officer of Health, Chronic Non-communicable Diseases, Dr. Kenneth George; Dietician at the CDRC, Rachel Harris; and Medical Neurologist with the BNR, Dr. David Corbin. All are invited.
