Local academics and economists now have another reference tool to assist them in the preparation of scholarly papers on a range of socio-economic issues.

Volume III of the Journal of Public Sector Policy Analysis, which is a collection of six papers, is now available from the Research and Planning Unit of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Empowerment and Innovation, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael.

Among the papers in the publication are: The Contributions of Credit Unions to the National Development of Barbados, written by Ronnie Griffith, Kimberley Waithe, Troy Lorde and Professor Roland Craigwell; The Impact of Climate Change on the Barbadian Economy: The Consequences of Doing Nothing, by Ronnie Griffith and Derek Gibbs; and Are Shocks to Barbados’ Long-Stay Visitor Arrivals Permanent or Temporary?: A Short Empirical Note penned by Troy Lorde and Dr. Brian Francis.

Volume I of the Journal was launched in December 2007; and the second volume, which is a collection of eight papers on topics such as Remittances and Their Effect on the Level of Investment and Talent Management, was published in December last year. jwilson@barbados.gov.bb
