Barbadians and permanent residents are being urged to take advantage of the Immunisation Unit’s open day tomorrow, Friday, May 28, for the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The National Vaccination Programme’s Co-coordinator (Logistics), Major David Clarke, reminded persons that they will not be protected against COVID-19 if they don’t get both doses of the vaccine.

The open day will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and persons who received their first dose before April 1, this year, are urged to get their second dose before the vaccines, which were received from India, expire at the end of this month.

The venues are as follows: Sandals Conference Centre, Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church; the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation, Building No.2, Harbour Road, St. Michael; the Winston Scott Polyclinic, Jemmotts Lane, St. Michael, and St. Andrew Parish Church, Belleplaine, St. Andrew.

Members of the public are asked to walk with their blue vaccination cards.
