The Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Water Resource Management is looking to establish a germplasm collection of local crop landraces/varieties, and is inviting persons to assist.

Varieties such as six-week okras, local cucumbers, local corn, guinea corn, hot peppers and local cherry tomatoes are required.

Additionally, the Ministry is also seeking the public’s assistance in obtaining local medicinal plant varieties to be used in the establishment of a medicinal germplasm bank at the Ministry’s headquarters, located at Graeme Hall, Christ Church.
