The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to advise the public that on Wednesday, May 1, it again suffered power outages at its Bowmanston, Golden Ridge, Sweet Vale, Applewhaites, Greens and Ellerton pumping stations.

The stoppages impacted residents fed from these stations, including some St. Joseph districts, which have once again been severely challenged.

The authority has restarted all of the stations and they are back in operation, however, it will take some time for the water to fully recharge. As usual, BWA crews will assist any customers suffering outages via water tankers, as a temporary measure.

Members of the public are reminded that they may call representatives of the authority at 434-4292 to notify them of any outage or problem they may be experiencing. Persons are available to take their calls every day, including Bank Holidays, between 8:30 a.m. and 12 midnight.

The BWA sincerely apologizes for the disruption in service and thanks persons for their understanding and patience in this matter.
