Attorneys-at-Law and retired or serving public officers may now apply for appointment as a member of a Resident Panel to investigate alleged misconduct of a serious nature in the Public Service.

The Ministry of Public Service has advised that applicants who are serving public officers must be at the grade of Senior Personnel Officer/Senior Human Resource Officer, that is, salary scale Z.6-1 or above.

Members of the Resident Panel will be appointed by the Governor General on the advice of the Administrative, General and Professional Commission; the Judicial and Legal Service Commission and the Protective Services Commission.

Applicants who are serving public officers are invited to write a letter to the Director General, Human Resources, Ministry of the Public Service, through their Heads of Department, expressing an interest in serving on the Resident Panel. 

All other applicants should write a letter of application to the Director General, Human Resources, Ministry of the Public Service, E. Humphrey Walcott Building, Corner of Collymore Rock and Culloden Road, St. Michael. All applications must be submitted by Thursday, August 6.

This request for appointment as a Member of the Resident Panel to enquire into alleged misconduct of a serious nature is pursuant to paragraph 4(1) of the Code of Discipline set out at the Third Schedule of the Public Service Act, Cap. 29.
