Chief Education Officer, Laurie King (FP)

Chief Education Officer, Laurie King, is satisfied with the smooth return of the 30 teachers to the Alexandra School.

He led a team of officials from the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development to the St. Peter institution today to observe the re-integration process.

Noting that "the process got off to a very smooth start", Mr. King said, "I am extremely happy that the re-integration of teachers into the school was uneventful. The Ministry made available counselling for staff and students and it was accessed by a few students."

According to the Chief Education Officer, there was a short assembly which was addressed by the Principal Jeff Broomes, and all students went off to their classes accompanied by their teachers.

The Ministry was also represented by Deputy Chief Education Officer (Schools), Joy Adamson; Senior Education Officer, Patricia Warner and Senior Psychologist, Juanita Brathwaite.
