The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training is informing parents and guardians that the Ministry of Health and Wellness has given the all clear for classes to recommence at the Sharon Primary School, Sharon, St Thomas. The school has been cleaned and remediation work completed. 

The Sharon Primary Schools will open tomorrow Monday 7th October, 2019 for ALL students at its Sharon location.  

The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training extends gratitude to the Jackson Seventh Day Adventist Church for accommodating the Class 3 and Class 4 students for the period that the school was not opened.  The staff and students of the Holy Innocents Primary School must also be thanked for accommodating the Class 2 students.

The Maria Holder Nursery School-Sharon has been in session for one week and there have been no adverse reports from students or members of staff during the week.

Preliminary air quality tests have been conducted by a private firm at both the Maria Holder Nursery and Sharon Primary schools and no alarming levels of particulate matter were detected.

There will be continued monitoring around these two schools by three Ministries, the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, the Ministry of Health and Wellness and the Ministry of Labour.
