The Regional Security System (RSS) is on Facebook.

The organization, which plays a major role in the region’s land, sea and air security, launched its page on the popular social media site last month. Members of the public, security practitioners, students, and RSS partners will now have easier access to information about the RSS.

Executive Director, Captain (N) Errington Shurland, noted that the RSS already had an active website and Flickr and YouTube pages, but pointed out that a Facebook presence would make the security organization more visible.

Captain Shurland stated: “It is an opportunity to reach the general public and our partners, and also to provide a medium for them to reach out to us. Our Facebook presence will assist in RSS brand awareness, boost community engagement and educate those that have no idea about the RSS.”

Persons may access the RSS Facebook page by visiting https://www.facebook.com/rssbarbados.
