The Department of Constituency Empowerment is inviting all interested persons over the age of 40, to register for this year’s National Senior Games.

The Tennis competition will be held from Tuesday, April 18 to Friday, April 28, at the Tennis Centre, Garfield Sobers Sports Complex, Wildey, St. Michael.

The preliminaries for Dominoes will begin next Wednesday April 26, and will be held on May 3, 5, 10, 12 and 17. The semifinals will follow on Friday, May 19, while the finals will be held on Saturday, May 27.

Persons may also register for the Basketball Competition, before Friday, April 28. The competition dates are Saturday May 6 to Sunday May 7, as well as Saturday, May 13 to Sunday, May 14.

The table tennis competition will begin the following day, Monday, May 15, and continue until Wednesday May 17, at the Table Tennis Centre, John Beckles Drive, Constitution Road, St. Michael. The deadline for registration is Friday, May 12.

The road tennis competition begins Wednesday, April 26, and runs until Sunday May 21, at the Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael. The deadline for registration is Friday, April 21.

The cycling Road Race will be held on Sunday, May 21, at the Spring Garden Circuit, Spring Garden, St. Michael, opposite Weiser’s on the Bay. The deadline to register for this event is Monday, May 09.

Meanwhile, the 5K Road Race, which is open to runners, walkers and wheelchair competitors, will be held on Sunday, May 28, at Spring Garden. The deadline for registration is Saturday, April 22.

The field events will come off at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex, Paradise Park, Cave Hill, St. Michael, on Sunday June 4, while the track meet will be held the following day, Whit Monday, June 5, at the same venue. Persons interested in registering for both events must do so before Saturday, April 29.
