Registration is currently open for the annual Charles F. Broome Memorial Primary School’s Power of Choice summer initiative.

The five-week programme, which will be held from Monday, July 8 to Friday, August 9, at the Government Hill, St. Michael school, will cater to children between the ages of four and 12 and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.

The theme this year is Fun and Fitness on the Hill and children will engage in developmental activities while learning new skills and strategies, in addition to making new friends in the process.

Some of the activities will include poetry, puppetry, story reading, Chinese Mandarin, Spanish, salsa and line dancing, Zumba, educational tours, modelling, cheerleading and music. These events will be facilitated by certified reading specialists, qualified teachers, musicians, actors and some volunteers.

Furthermore, there will be a Reader’s Workshop on Tuesday, July 30, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. And, participants will showcase their skills during an End of Camp Exhibition and Closing Ceremony on Friday, August 9, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Additionally, parents and guardians may access ‘Before and After Care’ Services which will be made available from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. on mornings and 3:30 until 5:30 p.m. on evenings. Registration forms may be collected from the school’s guard lodge between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
